Is it just me, or do 90% of crock pot recipes yield some kind of Mexican chicken dish? Don’t get me wrong, I’ll slather sour cream, lime and cheese on just about anything. But I got SO excited when so many suggested recipes were meals I completely never would have considered for Project Don’t Starve.
This week, we have Italian Sausage Sandwiches! While the sandwiches are the prime meal, I figured there’s no reason we can’t treat this like red sauce and just run with the whole Italian situation.

What did we think?
Taaaaaasty. Very good. We ate Italian Sausage Sandwiches the first night. The second night I took the remaining sauce and meat, added maybe 2 1/2 cups of water, and threw in 3 cups of rotini. I let it cook until the rotini were done and topped it with mozzarella. Froze the rest for another day. Super easy and tasty. Would definitely make again!
